Are Churches Trying to Keep People from attending or Are they Trying to Attract Them?

I have heard many stories in which people just stopped going to church because they didn't feel accepted; whether it was because they were bullied in church or if it was because the church didn't allow them to enter because of a particular reason. I think the church should accept and show love to others even if we don't agree with them. We just lost a life we could've saved by not welcoming them. It saddens my heart that this has happened in different parts of the world. Just thinking of the image we gave those people, that God's people aren't loving and not accepting as he is. "If this is what getting saved is going to make me, then I don't want to be part of it or God, it was just a lie".

We don't want to give out that image of ourselves, we don't want to contradict the Word of God by doing so.
This brings me to when the law in the book of Acts in the Bible was passed out by God, that anyone can be the Child of God and not just the Jewish, it is showing us that anyone is accepted once they get saved; that is if they get saved. We do not want to prevent that.

I ask all of you to pray for our Churches, in the present because they need our prayer.

  1. First as a youth pastor, I commend you in this endeavor to blog about the things of God. Secondly, you are exactly right, sometimes the church dissuades from people from coming through the door because they look or act differently. We must begin seeing them as Jesus does.

    God Bless and Keep Writing!
